On Sept. 16, the Mount welcomed family and friends to campus for Family Fest. Families came together for the day and enjoyed fun activities. The Family Fun Zone had activities such as the High Striker where family members gathered around and test their strength. Cheers could be heard whenever the bell dang. Other activities included inflatable football, basketball and a slide. Face painting was a huge success as well as balloon hats. Young children along with Mount’s students could not ignore the face painting station and rocked some cool designs.
The BBQ Lunch was a great time for families to reconnect. There were choices ranging from pulled barbecue pork to veggie burgers and hot dogs, potato salad, mac n’ cheese and delicious fresh fruit. The adults had a great time at the Beer Garden where they relaxed and listened to live music.
Other events that happened throughout the day were a hike to the Indian Lookout, there was a career center open house, a mount legacy and parent leadership social and the center for computing, cybersecurity and data was open to everyone. There was a beautiful mass service at our Chapel of the Immaculate Conception. The Murder Mystery Dinner was a hit for everyone who attended. David and Leeman, the comedy magicians, were a great close to a wonderful day.
