Sophomore Haley Fournier of the Mount St. Mary’s swimming team has been named the November Student Athlete of the Month. Fournier was born December 29, 1993 and was raised in Ave Maria, Florida. She attended high school at Palmetto Ridge, where she earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American. She was also a USA Junior National qualifier in the 1500 and 800 freestyle. Fournier began her college career at NEC rival school, Saint Francis University, where she was the NEC champion in the 2013 1650 freestyle and earned First Team All-NEC in the same event. Fournier picked up an individual win in the 1500 free against Wagner at the beginning of this month. Later, she set a school record in the 200 breast and won three individual competitions against Howard. She also set three school records at the Radford Invitational. Mount fans are looking forward to a great January and February from Haley to continue the great season she is having thus far.
